Camila Muradas (mila) is a Brazilian-American artist and maker working across image, voice, space, and ritual.
Her work explores transformation, memory, desire and the unseen connections between things. She is interested in the space between the tangible and intangible, and in the ways an experience can become a picture, an object, a gesture or a story. Photography was the starting point, but the practice has gradually expanded into filmmaking, installation, handmade objects, voice and other forms of experimentation.
Drawn to old myths, faded memories, the body, nature and the strange poetry of everyday life, she approaches making as a form of alchemy: collecting, transforming and giving new shape to what is already there.
Born in New Jersey, and raised in Brazil.
Bachelor of Industrial Design, Universidade de Brasília.
Based in Seoul since 2018.
