Camila Muradas is a Brazilian-American multidisciplinary artist working across photography, film, sound, and objects. Born in New Jersey, raised in Brasília, and shaped by eight years living in South Korea, her practice has developed through movement between cultures, disciplines, and ways of seeing.

Growing up in Brasília, surrounded by the contrast of brutalist architecture and the wild landscape of the Cerrado, shaped an early sensitivity to texture, space, and contradiction. Warm grey concrete, red-brown earth, human skin, fire, and regrowth remain part of her visual memory.

“Every year, the district would violently burn during the dry season. We would see wildfires spreading across the horizon. Yet, the Cerrado trees would blossom beautifully each time, rising from the ashes, in between the ground, concrete and sky.”

Her work follows curiosity rather than a fixed medium, moving between carefully developed projects and spontaneous forms of expression. Recurring threads include paradox, transformation, intimacy, nature, and the coexistence of light and dark. Through an evolving multidisciplinary practice, she creates to explore, connect, and make space for feeling.
