CAMILA MURADAS – VISUAL ARTIST, PHOTOGRAPHER, FILMMAKER.

Camila is a Brazilian-American, born in New Jersey, raised in Brasília, and based in Seoul. A conflicting mix.

Drawn to paradoxes — beginning and endings, presence and absence, organic and synthetic, nature and culture. Her work is a study on death, entropy, and the vastness of the empty. Rooted in what is raw, minimal, and true.

Camila Muradas began her intentional creative journey in 2011 alongside academic studies in graphic design and her personal development in yoga and meditation practice. Movement and breath became essential tools for grounding and contemplation, shaping both her life, work, and vision.

Raised in Brasília, surrounded by brutalist architecture and nature, she is fascinated by contrasts between the warm grey concrete, old brown from ground dust, and different human skin tones.

“Every year the district would violently burn from the dry season. We would see wild fires spreading through the horizon. Yet, the cerrado trees would blossom beautifully each time, raising from the ashes, in between the ground, concrete and sky”.

A deep mixture of ancient and futuristic. Now based in Seoul, her work explores these tensions and embraces them through photography, fashion, painting, film, and performance.

Her practice also includes Shibari — the art of emotional rope tying — as a study in paradox: seduction and restraint, dominance and surrender, pain and pleasure. A tactile dialogue through rope, skin, and breath. Yoga and shibari together inform her search for stillness within movement, presence within absence, and human connection. Always returning to what is raw, minimal, and true.

Meditation informs her approach with its blend of tradition, dedication, and intuition. Fueling genuine curiosity and contemplation for stillness amid chaos.
